To see or not to see...

BEATRICE.jpg

To see or not to see, that is the question;
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The gun slingings and bullets of an outrageous play adaptation,
Or to take arms against a bad rendition,
And shun my favorite Shakespeare play?
~Hamlet well, kinda ;)

Fellow countrymen I wanted to extend warm invitation to those of you interested in watching “Much Ado About Nothing” this weekend. If weather permits, Jacob and I have decided to give it a go this Saturday. And I must say, I’m kind of excited even though both of us are far from thrilled with the western theme. But hey, even if we don’t make it through the whole play, having a picnic in the midst of fire-juggling-iambic pentameter speaking jesters is WELL worth the trip. Although I am a bit leery of this adaptation, I have committed to staying through the first act. I’ve got to here Benedick say “What, my dear Lady Disdain! are you yet living?” If that line is delivered well I won’t care if the he’s decked out in chaps and spurs. However, if the line is falls short I’ll be tempted to boot-scootn’ boogie on to something else. A game of kickball? Coffee?
So, if you’d like meet up with us let me know and we can bring extra blankets and snacks. Wait, does anybody know what time the pre-shows begin? I don’t want to miss the fire juggling.
P.S. Ange, are you game? We need somebody to take good notes. ;)

I'm afraid it would be a long journey for her. She'd probably have to leave today to be there on time. She's on the other side of the globe in Tanzania Africa... Where, I'm sure she's taking lots of notes...

Oh that's right! Rats! What about you Jesse?

Have fun guys. The jester who is always there is there--for that I can vouch. Last Friday, I think it was, Carol, Meg, and I walked past the stage set and I saw him talking in his mock Brit accent. I think he has the capacity to eat fire. Do you remember?

Not sure what we're doing this weekend. We may go to the Farnsworth Museum and maybe Lobster Cove.

Forester had to go to the E.R today which was sad. I saw him and he looked terrible. His dog, Alexander, is quite the "chicken of love" as Forester puts it. He follows Isaac and I everywhere we go. I was truly annoyed at first but now find him endearing.

Sorry to hear about Forester (I am imagining him retelling his hospital experience in his slightly endearing, pish-posh accent) he's a dang fine gent! And that dog? Chicken of love indeed!

Wish you could come with us Saturday :( We shall raise a glass in your honor

Too bad. Perhaps I'll see if Claire and Jacob want to help me reenact moments for you and Laura later?
