OK, now that was darn cute, especially when the one otter reaches out his paw to "take the paw," so to speak, of the other one. Love them otters.
Not necessarily in their activity level and playfulness (which aren't really on display here), but otters remind me of the Hrossa on Malacandra in the book Out of the Silent Planet.

Thanks for posting a video of my absolute, favorite animal of all time, the sea otter! I think they are the cutest, most loveable animals ever!

I have got to read "Out of the Silent Planet"! Darn cute indeed Neil!
Heidi H. you were right; they ARE the sloths of the water. I must say, I thought of YOU Heidi H. when I posted this!
Have you ever wondered if Jesus petted the donkey that carried him into Jerusalem? I was thinking about that last night. There I was trying to sleep and an image of Jesus smoothing the donkey’s mane as he was being carried into Jerusalem. At first I felt kinda dumb for thinking that Jesus would pet the donkey, you know considering he was carrying such a huge burden himself. But strangely, I’ve not been able to shake the image. It makes me think Jesus DID pet the donkey. He's such a love giver like that; even in the midst of intense pain he tended and comforted others…perhaps even the donkey.

I think he totally could have. I think a poem needs to be written.
Yes, I am confident that you will love the Hrossa as well, particularly Hyoi, the Hross who befriends Ransom.

Heidi, I'm having some tech problems, but the snatch of film I did catch was real cute. I can imagine you floating around with these creatures and loving it : )
I was thinking about the donkey colt this morning! I bet he did pet it. It's interesting that Jesus didn't stay the night in Jerusalem the first (and second night) after entering. He left for Bethany (I think that's right) and then came back in the morn. Somehow I thought once he entered Jerusalem he didn't leave untill he died. But no, he still saught some sanctuary in (probably) a less crowded area.
Oh, I was thinking of watching/discussing the film "Jesus of Montreal" maybe Wed, Thurs, Frid. Have you seen it?

Sorry you can’t see it Larrr. :( In the video the otters are holding hands (paws?). At one point they drift apart when one falls asleep, but the other one holds out his little paw and they reattach. Oh and the other thing is that their little arms are in a “come-hug-me” position the entire time.
Oh and yes, I have seen that film. Jacob really liked it, but I was a bit put off by the Jesus character. I probably should give it another chance because you guys liked it so much. I can't watch it this week cause I'm so dang busy. But later perhaps.
