Playing Book Tag
1.One book that changed your life: The Brothers' Karamazov by Dostoevsky.
2.One book that you've read more than once: Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamott.
3.One book you'd want on a desert island: A Boy Scout's guide to Wilderness Survival AND The Complete Shakespeare Anthology, so I can memorize if and do plays with the island animals.
4.One book that made you laugh: Naked by David Sedaris
5.One book that made you cry: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by Clive Staples Lewis.
6.One book you wish you had written: The Encyclopedia! Lit wise, Catcher in the Rye.
7.One book that you wish had never been written: The Gnostic Gospels
8.One book you are currently reading: Gilead by Marilynne Robinson.
9.One book you've been meaning to read: The book my dad's writing called Mongo...I just never tell him I want the chapters he's finished.
10.Now tag five people: I don't know how to tag people. I've always been horrible at tag, cause I was always "IT" and I would get bored and turn it into a self-deprecating game of Hide-and-Seek! I guess I would tag...Jacob (hubby), Becky (mamma), Dan (Papa), and my blood family, but they are not really into blogging, so I guess that'll do.
NO TAG BACKS!

Love the picture of that beautiful/sad chapter in the LWW. My brother had to tearfully wake up my mother to read on when left at that point as a child. And, then, oh what a joyful, glorious romp there is next. Something that could never (and wasn't) be captured on film.

SO TRUE! When I saw LLW, I got a tad teary. When I read LLW, I wept. I think that God made our imaginations SO amazing, and, I think that books allow us to use them more than movies! P.S. I took that picture when I was waiting at the History Museum for Jacob to pick me up from Jury Duty. I noticed the door in the entryway would flash a rainbow when people walked in and out. When I realized the rainbow was flashing on my book, I got chills knowing that God was reminding me of the covenant. I HAD to take a picture. Godâs ways makes my heart purr!

I was going to put "The Brother's Karamazov" on my list as well and then for some reason I didn't. But, I should have because this book is precious to me. Do you know I am going to work at the History Museum? I will have to watch out for the rainbows.
